Studio Rent in LINEWORK

Studio rent is based on the artist commission set for each artist. Click here to learn how to set the commission rate for an artist.

💳 Online payments
When studio managers or the artist checks out a client with online payment for studio-based services, the payment is split automatically between the artist and the studio by default – essentially charging the artist for Studio Rent for that sale.

This saves managers and artists the hassle of having to worry about settling this later. The amount split is determined by the commission set for the artist when the client completes their online payment.

When this happens, an invoice is automatically created, and accessible to both Studio Managers and the Artist. This invoice will automatically be marked as paid, helping you keep track of the rent collected.

You will find all invoices created like this in Studio Rent > Paid Invoices.

💵 Cash Payments
When cash payment is recorded for an artist for studio-based services, the sale will be displayed as an uninvoiced sale for the Artist in Studio Rent > Uninvoiced until a Studio Manager creates an invoice for the Artist including this item.

📄 Studio Rent Invoices
In addition to invoices created automatically from payments being split using Online Payments, Studio Managers can create invoices asking an artist to pay rent at any time from sales that have not yet been invoiced. All invoices created will appear in Studio Rent > Invoices.
