Studio Accounts in Linework lets you manage all aspects of your studio business, including managing artists' appointments, payments, studio rent and more.
If you haven't already, you'll need to sign up and create your Linework user first.
When you've signed up, you have two ways of creating a Studio Account:
Create a Studio Account after initial sign-up
Create a Studio Account from the dashboard
Create a Studio Account after initial sign-up
After signing up and validating your email address with the 6-digit code sent to your email, you will be taken to a page where you have the option to create either an Artist Account or a Studio Account.
Click 'Create studio account'
Next, you will be directed to the New Studio Account – Get started page
Follow steps 1 - 4 below.
Create a Studio Account from the dashboard
If you decided to create an Artist Account first on sign-up or if you are looking to create additional Studio Accounts to manage multiple locations, you can do that from your Dashboard.
How to get to the Dashboard:
If you are logged out, all you have to do is log in and you will be directed to your Dashboard.
If you are already logged in and have launched your Artist Account or a Studio Account – Click on the Artist/Studio Name on the top of the Navigation Bar (1) to open your Account Menu and Click 'Go to Dashboard' (2)
Once you are on your Dashboard, you will see different things depending on if you already manage a Studio Account or not:
A) If you don't manage a Studio Account, you will see a section with 'Are you a studio manager?' – To create a Studio Account, click 'Create studio account'
B) If you already manage one or more Studio Accounts, you will see them listed.
To create a new Studio Account, click the button saying 'New Studio Account'
Next, you will be directed to the New Studio Account – Get started page
Follow steps 1 - 4 below.
Step 1: Get started page
There are two things you'll need to do here:
Studio name
Fill out the name of your studio. This is the main display name of the studio, and will be displayed to managers and artists invited to join your studio and to studio clients in any client SMS and emails sent to them.
How many managers will be using Linework to manage this studio
If it's just you (or you plan on inviting other managers later), leave it as 'Just me'.
If you want to invite other people to manage the Studio Account now, then set this to '2 or more'.
Once you're done with this step – click 'Next'
Step 2 – Add your studio Location
Again there are two settings to consider:
Studio time zone
Set the time zone of your studio. This will be set as the time zone for the calendar and all appointments created for artists at the studio.
Studio location
Enter the address of your Studio's physical location. This address will be displayed to managers and artists that you invite to join your studio, and to clients in any appointment notifications sent to them, like Booking confirmations and reminders.
Once you're done with this step – click 'Next'
Step 3 – Invite your studio managers (optional)
Note: If you set the amount of managers in step 1 to 'Just me', this step will be skipped. You can still skip this step by clicking 'Skip for now' if you decide you would like to invite managers later instead.
Here you have the option to invite other people to manage your studio account. There are two things you will need to set for each person you are inviting:
Email – Enter the email address you want to send the invitation to.
Studio role – This setting will determine the permissions of what this user can and can't manage for the studio account. Learn more about studio manager roles and permissions.
To invite more people, click 'Add another' and enter the fields described above.
Once you're done with this step – click 'Next'
Step 4 – Invite your studio artists (optional)
This is where you invite your artists to connect with your studio. Note that you can skip this step if you want to invite artists later by clicking 'Skip for now', but you will need to invite and activate artists for your managers and the artists to be able to manage studio-based appointments and payments. Learn more about onboarding artists in your studio.
For each artist you would like to invite to the studio, you need to add:
Artist Email – Enter the email address of the artist you want to send the invitation to.
Artist commission – Enter the artist commission in your studio. This will determine how Linework calculates the commissions on the sales this artist generates and helps managers at the studio create commission-based invoices for Studio Rent. Learn more about artist commissions and Studio Rent.
To invite more artists, click 'Add another' and enter the fields described above.
Once you're done with this step – click 'Create studio Account'.
And you're all done!
You will now be directed to your dashboard, where you can:
Launch your newly created Studio Account (A)
Create more Studio Accounts (if you manage multiple locations) by clicking 'New Studio Account' (B)
Create your Artist Account if you work as an artist (or launch it if you've already created one) (C)
