This article is for Studio Managers
Before being able to manage bookings and payments for artists with your Studio Account, or better yet – have them manage themselves – you need to invite and activate them. This guide will teach you how.
If you are a Studio Manager, that also works as an Artist, you can follow these steps.
Invite an artist
1. Click Artists in the navigation menu
2. Click Invite artist in the top right corner
3. Type the artist's email and commission rate, and click Send invitation. You can change the commission rate in artist settings at any time. Note that the artist always will see what the commission is set to.
The artist will receive an email with your invitation. When they click the Accept invite button in the email they will be taken to the LINEWORK sign-up page.
Note: if the artist can't find your invitation email, have them check their spam folder.
If the artist you've invited already has a LINEWORK Artist Account, they will also find your invitation in Workplaces and can view and accept it from there.
The artists you have invited will be visible under the tab Invited until they accept.
Activate the artist
When an artist accepts your invitation, you need to activate the artist to start managing their bookings. When an artist is activated, they can also manage bookings within your studio themselves.
Note: You will receive an email whenever artists accept an invitation from a studio you manage.
1. Go to Artists and click the 'Needs activation' tab
2. Click Edit settings for the artist you want to activate
3. Make sure to review and edit the artist settings:
Artist Commission
This is the percentage of the artist's studio-based sales which the artist will keep for themselves.
Default pricing rates for Tattoo sessions and Consultations at the studio:
This will help with price estimation when creating new bookings for the artists.
4. When you're ready, change the Studio Status of the artist to Active and click Save changes and you're done!
