Understand artist statuses in you studio with this article

This article is for Studio Managers

Artists can have different statuses in your studio, depending on if they have accepted your invitation, if they've been activated yet and if they've been deactivated by anyone managing the Studio Account.

If you haven't already, you should invite artists to connect with your studio.

The different artist statuses and what they mean

Invitation sent

An artist will have this status after when a manager has sent a studio invitation for the artist to connect to the studio.

This status will remain until the artist has accepted the invitation.

Needs activation

Artists that have accepted a studio invitation will have this status until they are activated.

From there, a studio manager should review their studio settings by clicking Edit Settings for the artist. Managers can edit their artist commission and the default rates for their studio services, in addition to setting the artist to Active:

Active

An artist set to Active will be available for booking and payment management in the LINEWORK calendar for all managers at the studio. Activating an artist will also enable the artist themselves to manage bookings based in the studio.

Whenever needed, you can change the status of an artist to Inactive:

Inactive

Setting an artist to inactive will hide them from the calendar and disable management of bookings for the artist. This is helpful to avoid creating bookings for an artist who is not available at the studio at certain time periods.

Important note: Setting an artist to inactive will also prohibit the artist to create new bookings that are connected to your studio.
