Activate online payments

With online payments, you can collect card payments by giving clients access to an online payment portal on checkout.

Step 1 – Go to Settings

Access your settings by clicking Settings in the bottom left of the navigation bar.


Step 2 – Open Payment methods

Go to Payment methods

You will see now see an overview of the payment methods available to you.


Step 3 – Activate Online payments by connecting to Stripe

On the Collect online payments section, click the button 'Connect to Stripe to get started'.


Step 4 - Follow Stripe's onboarding

You will now be sent to Stripe where you will need to follow their registration steps to activate an account with Stripe. This will only take a few minutes.

Note: It may take some time for Stripe to verify your account. In this case, you will see a 'pending'-state for the online payment.

Important: Linework does not store or have access to personal information required by Stripe, like SSN, etc.


And you're done!

Once your Stripe account is activated, you can use Online payments to collect payments from your clients and receive payouts. This option will now be available to you in your session checkout.
